We recently had the pleasure of working with Jacob Sotak from Hookswain.

Hookswain is a space for like-minded enthusiasts of fly fishing and outdoor activities—focused on high quality storytelling that is deeply inspired by the practice and tradition of this lifestyle.
Avoiding tropes commonly seen in outdoor branding projects such as hooks, rods & waves, we created a versatile visual identity that pays homage to traditional fly rod inscriptions.
The script wordmark and ‘H’ icon were developed to work independently in a variety of use cases such as website elements and social media profiles, as well as future apparel & merch designs.
The components also come together creating a lockup which includes Hookwain’s tagline ‘Where current meets craft’.
